The Lyons National Bank (LNB) is proud to be a Corporate Sponsor of the 13th Annual Happiness House Gala Dinner & Auction Event to be held on Friday, February 5, 2016, at Belhurst Castle in Geneva. During the event, LNB CEO, Robert Schick, will be honored as the recipient of Happiness House's Humanitarian of the Year Award. The Humanitarian Award is given to outstanding individuals who dedicate their time to advocate for, and on behalf of, people with developmental disabilities, and whose accomplishments are consistent with the mission and vision of Happiness House. The nonprofit health and human service agency has been serving communities in the Finger Lakes Region of Upstate NY since 1969. The program offers an array of educational, therapeutic, recreational and family support programs and services for children and adults who reside in Ontario, Seneca, Wayne and Yates Counties. Happiness House serves approximately 1,100 families each year. Mr. Schick shares this dedication to the betterment of the community, which has been proven through his involvement in an array of local causes and organizations. In addition serving as an Immediate Past Chair of Happiness House, Schick has also taken on roles such as past Council president and trustee for the Boy Scouts of America Seneca Waterways Council Trust; current Chair of the Board of Trustees for both Keuka College and Lyons Community Health Initiative Corp; and Past Chair of the Geneva Chamber of Commerce, Independent Bankers Association of New York, New York Bankers Association Retirement System, and Smith Opera House Board of Trustees; Treasurer of Lyons Industrial Development Agency and past Treasurer of the FLCC Foundation. All proceeds from this event will be directed to the Happiness House Foundation to benefit programs and services for children and adults with and without disabilities in the Finger Lakes area.
