The Lyons National Bank recently helped in celebrating the young actors and actresses of Wayne County at the Elenbe Awards. For the past 20 years, the Bank has sponsored the awards run by the Wayne County Council for the Arts, which recognize the outstanding performances of Wayne county students in high school dramas and musicals. LNB president and CEO, Robert Schick, attended and spoke at the awards ceremony held at Newark High School. Schick was presented with an Award of Appreciation from Newark Central School District for continued support of the unique awards program. "It's one of the best ceremonies and sponsorships I've been involved in," Schick said of the Elenbe Awards. "I look forward to coming back for the years to come." The awards distinguish excellence on both and individual and production level, and schools awarded best production receive a monetary award sponsored by LNB. By hosting this event, known as the "High School Tony Awards of Wayne County," the area prides itself in being a leader in the recognition of achievement in performing arts at the high school level. LNB prides itself in over 160 years of taking on a people-centered approach and positively impacting the community. Through involvement in enriching programs such as the Elenbe Awards, we strive to make a difference.
