The Lyons National Bank (LNB), recently donated $5,000 to the National Women's Hall of Fame in Seneca Falls.

LNB's contribution will help enable the historic 1844 Seneca Knitting Mill to be adaptively rehabilitated into a new facility that will house the Hall and its Center for Great Women. The National Women's Hall of Fame new national headquarters will serve as an extraordinary venue to showcase the amazing stories of the Hall's more than 250 Inductees. The Seneca Knitting Mill is located in the Seneca Falls Historic District along two waterfront acres of the Cayuga-Seneca Canal, a tributary of the Erie Canal.

The National Women's Hall of Fame (NWHF) is the nation's oldest membership organization dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the achievements of great American women. It was created in 1969 in Seneca Falls, the birthplace of the American Women's Rights Movement, by a group of local women and men who believe that contributions of American women deserved a permanent home in the small village where the fight for women's rights began. The NWHF, a 501(c) (3), not--for--profit organization, is located in the Historic District in downtown Seneca Falls, NY. For more information about the NWHF and its inductees, visit www.greatwomen.org.
