The Lyons National Bank (LNB) donated $300 towards the Finger Lakes Leadership Project to build an informational kiosk along the Geneva Lakefront.
The kiosk will be installed near Long Pier next to the Ramada Inn and will be a welcome point for visitors traveling to Geneva and the Finger Lakes region.
A groundbreaking ceremony took place on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at the new location of the kiosk near Long Pier and included 10 talented professionals from The Finger Lakes Leadership group including: Kate Decker of Lyons National Bank; Carrie Fiorilla of Lochland School; Brian Hopper of First Niagara Bank; Rachael Iannapollo of Geneva Area Chamber of Commerce; Tiffany Nelson of Hampton Inn; Christen Smith of Finger Lakes Health; Heidi Solimine of Five Star Bank; Jeremy Wattles of Hobart and William Smith Colleges; Susan White of Finger Lakes Federal Credit Union, and Tiffany Yancey of Happiness House.
The mission of the Finger Lakes Leadership group is to cultivate and grow Finger Lakes tourism by providing information about local resources, opportunities, and destinations. The kiosk is set to be complete and installed by the end of June with help from BOCES carpentry students, CCMI, Inc. and In-House Design.
