The Lyons National Bank (LNB) recently donated $500 to the Dundee Central School District "Rocks and Reads" project for the upcoming 2012-2013 school year. The project focuses on promoting family reading with children from birth up to the third grade in order to increase the number of children who read proficiently by the time they have reached grade 3. Books purchased with donated funds are given out at family reading nights for students Pre-K to grade 3. Students from this age group who do not attend the community reading night are still given a copy of the book to take home on the next school day. LNB is a $638 million independent, community bank with eleven branch offices located throughout Wayne, Onondaga, Ontario, Seneca and Yates Counties.
