Auburn, NY: The Lyons National Bank (LNB) celebrated their recent groundbreaking at the site of their new full-service branch at 311 Grant Avenue Road in Auburn, on Thursday, July 6, 2017. Demolition of the old La-Z-Boy furniture building was completed in early June.

LNB acknowledged local tradespeople playing important roles in the branch's construction, including Beardsley Architects & Engineers and Bouley & Associates as the general manager for the project.

"When we move to a new market, we make every effort to hire locally," said Thomas L. Kime, LNB President. "From planning and building to lending and managing our branch office we see the importance of having local individuals dedicated to their community. The full-service customer experience differentiates LNB in the marketplace with designated commercial lending, residential mortgage, and financial services staff available at branch locations. I am confident our style of hometown banking and personalized service will appeal to the community."

NYS Assemblyman, Gary Finch, welcomed LNB and commented on the important role community banks play in the health of local economies. Other local officials, including district director, John McBride, from Senator John DeFrancisco's office and deputy supervisor, Jerrold Eades, from the Town of Sennett were in attendance.

As with other LNB branch locations, the new building will highlight a Community Room that will be available for local organizations to use as meeting space. Bank officials expect the Grant Avenue building to be open for business in late fall.

LNB recently opened its first Cayuga County office at 63 Genesee Street in downtown Auburn on April 24, 2017. To learn more about LNB and its services, please contact branch manager, Demetrius Murphy, at (315) 612-3456 or visit BankwithLNB.com/Auburn.
