The Lyons National Bank (LNB) recently promoted ten employees within the Bank.
Ruth Columbus, Director of Internal Audit, was promoted to Vice President. Columbus joined the LNB team in 2005 to oversee all aspects of the organization's Internal Audit function and is responsible for directing audit activities as well as maintaining effective and efficient audit programs to provide added value to the organization. Columbus has 38 years of banking experience and is a certified "Community Bank Internal Auditor." Columbus resides in Henrietta and has 3 grown children and 4 grandchildren. Shelly Nicoletta, Director of Marketing, has been promoted to Assistant Vice President. Nicoletta is responsible for managing the production and implementation of the bank's marketing programs and strategic marketing objectives. Nicoletta has been employed by LNB for 5 years. She is a graduate of St. John Fisher College with a bachelor's degree in marketing and psychology, and most recently graduated from the ABA School of Bank Marketing and Management. Nicoletta serves as a board member of the United Way of Wayne County and is a United Way Special Events committee member as well as a Campaign Cabinet member. She is also a Rate Watch Advisory Board member, and is a previous member of the Lyons Community Education Program and the Finger Lakes Leadership Group Class of 2010. Nicoletta resides in Clyde with her husband Anthony and their two children, Marissa and Vincent. Jill Hansen, Seneca County Branch Manager, has been promoted to Assistant Vice President. Hansen is responsible for implementing strategies to achieve branch assigned goals and directly supervises all staff. She also conducts external calls on businesses to establish growth and sales on present and prospective customers. Hansen serves on the Board of Directors and is Vice President of the Kiwanis Club, and is also a current ambassador of the Seneca County Chamber of Commerce. She also is a member of the "It's a Wonderful Life" committee, the Waterloo Business Professional Association, the Seneca Falls Business Association and is on the Cornell Cooperative Extension Nominating Committee. Hansen began with LNB in 2004 as a teller and was then promoted to a customer service representative and is now a branch manager. She resides in Newark. Tara Rago, Geneva Branch Manager, has been promoted to Assistant Vice President. Rago is responsible for implementing strategies to achieve branch assigned goals and directly supervises all staff. She also conducts external calls on businesses to establish growth and sales on present and prospective customers. Rago sits on the Board of Directors for Rotary, Geneva Community Projects and Geneva Lakefront Childcare. She is also an Ambassador for the Geneva Chamber of Commerce. Rago received the 2011 WOW! People's Choice Award within the Bank. Rago has been with LNB for over five years and began as a teller, was then promoted to a customer service representative and is now a branch manager. She resides in Geneva with her husband Michael and their son. Brenda Cordero, Accounting Manager, was promoted to Banking Officer. Cordero is responsible for managing all operations of the accounting department, preparing and reviewing financial reports and partnering with both internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with regulations and policies. Cordero has an AS in Accounting and Business Administration from FLCC and a BS in Business Management and Economics from Empire State College. She is currently enrolled in the NYCPA Program at Excelsior College. Cordero is a new member of Clifton Springs Rotary and has been a United Way Day of Caring volunteer for the past 6 years. An employee of LNB since May 2008, Cordero resides in Clifton Springs with her husband Anthony, and their two children, Anthony Jr. and Celia. Jason Cornwell, of the Credit Department, has been promoted to Senior Credit Underwriter and Banking Officer. Cornwell is responsible for reviewing and analyzing commercial credit requests, business financial statements collateral & industry and preparing recommendations for the Board of Directors. Cornwell was hired at LNB in 2006 as a Credit Analyst and resides in Newark with his wife Kathy and two children Luke and Mara. Kate Decker, Geneva Assistant Branch Manager, has been promoted to Banking Officer. Decker is responsible for overseeing branch staff, managing the customer relationship management program and daily operations of the branch. Decker holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Finance from SUNY Fredonia. Decker is a Board Member for Geneva Reads, and is also a volunteer and on the planning board for Geneva BID Cruisin' Night and Light up Geneva. She is also a 2012 member of the Finger Lakes Leadership Class. Decker was hired at LNB in 2004 as a teller and was then promoted to a customer service representative and then to an assistant branch manager. She resides in Penn Yan with her husband Steve and their two children, Natalie and Owen. Shannon DeRosa, Business Development Cash Manager Representative, has been promoted to Banking Officer. DeRosa is responsible for working with commercial customers on all aspects of online banking, cash management and Remote Deposit Capture. DeRosa began with LNB ten years ago as an operations clerk. She resides in Palmyra with her daughter McKenna. Angela Merola of LNB's Consumer Lending Department, has been promoted to Banking Officer. Merola has been with LNB since 2007. She resides in Geneva with her husband Rick. Wendy Wright has been promoted to Assistant Branch Manager of the Seneca County Office. Wright is responsible for overseeing branch staff, managing the customer relationship management program and daily operations of the branch. Wright began her career with LNB over six years ago as an interim head teller and was then hired as a commercial loan operations representative, in which she has spent the past five years. Wright is the Vice President of the Geneva Family & School Association and is currently studying Accounting at FLCC. She resides in Geneva with her husband Perry and their three children, Morgan, Daniel and Kaitlyn.
