Two Auburn natives have joined The Lyons National Bank (LNB) in the Bank's first Cayuga County office location at 63 Genesee Street (the former HSBC building).
Demetrius Murphy has been appointed vice president and branch manager for Auburn and is currently working from the downtown location. A graduate of the University at Albany, Murphy will oversee all branch operations, including developing local retail and business banking relationships. With over 16 years of bank management experience, Murphy's hometown-style of customer service is a perfect fit for LNB's community banking philosophy.
Gregory Lattimore has been appointed assistant vice president and commercial lender at LNB. As a seasoned commercial lender with 15 years of banking experience, Lattimore brings a strong knowledge of lending and the local business landscape to his position. A graduate of Cayuga Community College, Lattimore will work with businesses in Cayuga County and assist them with their lending needs.
Plans to build a new LNB branch, on the site of the former La-Z-Boy furniture store on Grant Avenue in Auburn, are underway. Local architects at Beardsley Design Associates are designing the new, full-service branch that will include a technology-equipped meeting room, which will be available for use by the organizations of the local community. Grand opening of the Grant Avenue branch is expected in early fall 2017.
