This number is based on an average of the last three years’ Return on Average Equity (ROAE). ROAE is an industry metric of interest shared by stockholders as it measures the annual rate of return on the value on their investment in the Bank. The community banks in the study were defined as those less than $2 billon in size with publicly listed stocks.
